First Card
Nine of Cups
Core meaning: Material, emotional, and physical well-being. This card brings very happy and bountiful energy with it—although isn’t there an old saying about wishes? “If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride”—no, not that one. Oh, yes: “Be careful what you wish for.”


Second Card
X • The Wheel of Fortune
Core meaning: A random occurrence is at hand. The Wheel of Fortune represents the random hand of fate, which can be lucky or unlucky. There is no judgment or assessment of your life in this card; it is more impersonal than Justice or the Tower, for example. Randomness is as much a part of life as the natural order. This card gives you a heads-up that something unexpected is about to drop into your life.

Third Card
Four of Wands Core meaning: Celebrating the culmination of events or the achieving of a goal. You have probably finished up a creative endeavor and are ready to celebrate your achievement.
